What is an LGBTQ Ally?

An ally to the LGBTQ community is any person who affirms the experiences and rights of LGBTQ People. Allies make a conscious effort to fight heterosexism,homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia .

Any person, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, can be an LGBTQ Ally. Allies are a key part of the work of the Spectrum Center and help us extend our reach beyond our grasp.

How to Participate in the LGBTQ Ally Training Program.

To become an ally::

1. Register for a training.

2. Attend a training to become a member:

3. Agree to uphold the goals, values, and expectations of the program.
