The LGBTQ Sexual Violence Peer Led Support Group (PLSG) is a confidential healing space for those who identify as survivors of sexual violence, sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, and stalking. LGBTQ+ PLSG is a weekly drop-in & student led group that welcomes students of any gender, age, degree level, and identity.
The group offers semi-structured activities, self-care practices and safe space for sharing if individuals choose to do so and is open to all survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, and stalking. The LGBTQ Peer Led Support Group is supported in collaboration with the Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center (SAPAC) and the Spectrum Center.
This space specifically centers survivors who identify as LGBTQ and are currently University of Michigan students; if you do not identity as LGBTQ, we encourage you to consider joining the SAPAC Peer Led Support Group. Learn more here: https://sapac.umich.edu/PLSGs.
For the fall semester, the LGBTQ+ PLSG will be meeting on Thursdays from 7:30-9:00pm, starting on September 24th. All of the meetings for Fall 2020 will be virtual. If you're interested in joining the group, fill out the confidential interest form below.
If you have questions about the group, you can reach out to Spectrum through our email at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Assistant Director for Learning and Development, Roman Christiaens, at email@example.com.
