Distinguighed alumni and friend of the Spectrum Center, John D. Evans, was inducted into the Cable Telecommunications Industry Hall of Fame in May 2016. John Evans was one of the founders of C-SPAN in 1977. John later served as its chairman and remains active on C-SPAN’s executive committee. He is also founder of the John D. Evans Foundation and through it has put into action his commitment to AIDS and cancer research and to the protection of the environment.
