Opened in 1971, Spectrum Center has become a national leader through our support, education, and advocacy programs. National organizations like Campus Pride and Best Colleges recognize the U-M as a top institution for LGBT college students. Michigan's academic excellence—together with a vibrant, active student community, key policies and protections, and an array of Spectrum Center events, co-curricular opportunities, and supports—prepares leaders and best to make meaningful change in the world.
