Spectrum Center has announced it will host the first annual Queer & Trans Research Symposium this March—and free registration is now open to the University of Michigan community.
The half-day, interdisciplinary academic conference will uplift and celebrate queer and trans student research and queer and trans student researchers at U-M. Graduate and professional students, as well as research-focused undergraduates, are invited to submit an original research paper in the format of an academic conference paper presentation. The deadline to submit a paper is March 9, and registration to attend will remain open until the event.
Spectrum Center is joined in presenting the symposium by co-sponsors including the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts DEI Office; Ginsberg Center; GoSTEM; Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs; Out in Med; and the School of Social Work.
The event will take place on March 27, 2025 at the Michigan Union from 11:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m., with an optional post-symposium networking opportunity to follow downtown. Registration is required to attend, and seats are limited.
