Our Ally Development Training Program is officially off and running for the 2014-2015 academic year! Twenty-seven participants signed up for our first training on October 19th, including U-M staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and local community members. We had some great discussions and learned a lot from one another. It was also the facilitation debut of our new Education & Training Student Lead, Leo Thornton. We are so excited to welcome him to the Education and Training team and if you get a chance to see him facilitate, you won't be disappointed!
We've been working hard with one of our alumni, Colin Roberts, to create an Ally Development Training Program logo, and are now officially launching it! Our new logo will be used on all of our promotional materials, on our Ally stickers and certificates of completion, and on our website & social media. Keep a look out for our awesome brand!
We are ready and motivated for another year of educating others about inclusion and LGBTQ identities. If you are interested in any of our Education and Training programs, or just want to see what we're up to, take a look at our website, and sign up for the next Ally Development session on November 16th!
