Jim Toy Library

The Jim Toy Library is a standing circulation library housed at Spectrum Center that focuses on queer literature, history, art, and experiences, as well as intersecting topics of identity and college life. 

The library is open to public use. 

Location: Spectrum Center, Michigan Union suite 3020, 530 S. State Street
Hours: During Spectrum Center business hours (see contact page for hours of operation)
Services: Books can be checked out for a maximum of three weeks at the center’s front desk.

About the Jim Toy Library

Our library collection is named in honor of Jim Toy, a founding director of Spectrum Center and a local civil rights leader. His professional and personal life exemplified Spectrum Center's mission and work.
