We're inviting the University of Michigan community to donate clothing and accessories to help stock Spectrum Center's Gender-Affirming Clothing Closet. Your contributions can make a real, tangible difference in someone’s life by offering them the chance to express themselves authentically—for free.
Starting February 16, drop-off donations will be accepted at Spectrum Center weekdays from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, through March 23. The closet will be open for a limited time March 25-26.
What to donate
- lightly used, clean clothing (with no damage, profanity, or slurs);
- accessories
We are especially looking for clothing of larger sizes!
During the clothing closet and year-round, the center also accepts essential needs and gender-affirming products, including new hygiene items; new cosmetics; undergarments in original packaging; and clean, gently-used gc2b chest binders.
To prepare the best experience, no donations can be accepted the day of the event.
