Angie Freeman, MS (they/them) is the events and partnerships program manager at Spectrum Center. They are a fiery, energetic student affairs practitioner, educator, and speaker who pours their heart out into the work of social justice. With over a decade of experience in various roles such as residential life, mentoring, coaching, retention, training, advising, LGBTQ+ and diversity and inclusion, Angie continues to pave a path led by self-work and action. As a lifelong learner with a bachelor’s degree from Oakland University and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, Angie continues their education with a graduate certificate in human diversity inclusion and social justice. It is Angie’s mission to help students, faculty, and staff deepen their understanding of LGBTQ+ communities and strengthen support and allyship for marginalized groups by way of innovative programming and active community engagement.
